PerspectiveS
Though problems arise and often
confound,
Our pain can affect how they’re viewed.
We struggle against injustice and sin
While the world says, “It’s your attitude.”
They offer up reasons and ways to go on
With platitudes beautifully framed
“Just look for the best,” or, “Things
could be worse.”
But they don’t even know what we’re named.
Deep down inside we know there is One
Who not only knows well our own name
He made us and formed us and keeps us secure
His love is the reason He came
Looking up from our pain, to put on a bright face
Is exhausting and quickly wears thin
But, looking down from His place, and full in His
face
Our faith grows much stronger within
Faith isn’t about, walking free with no doubt
It is resting in God’s pow’r and love
It is trusting He knows, even how our hair grows
And the name of each star up above
Yes, problems arise and often confound,
But faith will change how they are viewed.
Deep trust in the One, Who said, “It is done.”
Will result in the new attitude.
